Supporting purebred Great Danes
About GDCNE
The Great Dane Club of New England is a non-profit organization dedicated to the purebred Great Dane, including the responsible care, breeding and exhibiting of Danes registered with the American Kennel Club. We support the interests and welfare of this breed and our members who love them. Owning a Great Dane is a lifelong commitment, and we are dedicated to responsible care and breeding and to public education to help protect and advance this wonderful breed.

News & Updates
MEETINGS: We will hold our next meeting via Zoom on Thursday, November 18. The board will meet at 7:00 p.m. and the general meeting will start at 7:30 p.m. More information is available from President Sue Shaw. We also expect to meet via Zoom in January 2022.
SPECIALTIES & SUPPORTED SHOWS: For this fall’s Great Dane Club of America National Specialty raffle, we donated a very special basket designed for anyone who’s expecting a litter of Dane pups. Babies can be placed in this fleece-lined laundry basket whenever they need to come out of the whelping box, and we stocked the basket with a thermometer, infant scale, umbilical clamps, petroleum jelly, washable pads, and many other items. Thanks to everyone who contributed to the basket; special appreciation to Marcia Roddy for a great idea and great execution!
Our 2021 GDCNE fall specialties will be held November 26 and 27, Thanksgiving weekend, during the cluster shows at the Big E fairgrounds in West Springfield, Mass. Entry deadline is November 10. Premium lists are available at www.infodog.com. Attendees, including exhibitors and spectators, are advised to check the premium list for information regarding COVID-19 requirements, including signed waivers, or contact show chair Laurie Maulucci. GDCNE members who can assist with stewarding can contact Tiffany Cross. Congratulations to all the winners from our 2020 specialties and a big thank you to our judges and everyone who organized and staffed the shows. Complete 2020 results can be found at Infodog.com.
