Supporting purebred Great Danes
The Great Dane Club of New England is a non-profit organization dedicated to the purebred Great Dane, including the responsible care, breeding and exhibiting of Danes registered with the American Kennel Club. We support the interests and welfare of this breed and our members who love them. Owning a Great Dane is a lifelong commitment, and we are dedicated to responsible care and breeding and to public education to help protect and advance this wonderful breed.

News & Updates
MEETINGS: Thanks to Norm and Kathleen Vadenais for hosting our August meeting, a cookout/potluck at their Rhode Island home. Watch for details of our next meeting from President Sue Shaw or Corresponding Secretary Tiffany Cross.
SPECIALTIES & SUPPORTED SHOWS: For this fall’s Great Dane Club of America National Specialty raffle, we plan to donate a very special basket designed for anyone who’s expecting a litter of Dane pups. Babies can be placed in this fleece-lined laundry basket whenever they need to come out of the whelping box, and we will stock the basket with a thermometer, infant scale, umbilical clamps, petroleum jelly, washable pads, and many other items. Please contact Marcia Roddy about providing an item or make a donation via our Contribute page and the team will shop for you.
Our 2021 GDCNE fall specialties will be held November 26 and 27, Thanksgiving weekend, during the cluster shows at the Big E fairgrounds in West Springfield, Mass. Please contact Tiffany Cross to sign up to donate a specific trophy. Congratulations to all the winners from our 2020 specialties and a big thank you to our judges and everyone who organized and staffed the shows, including show chair Laurie Maulucci. Complete 2020 results can be found at
DANE LINE NEWS BULLETIN: Click here to see our latest Dane Line Reimagined newsletter with photos, member interviews, show news, litter updates, and additional details on Club activities. Send your contributions for the next issue to Editor Carol Urick.
2021 AWARDS: Members whose dogs earned titles in 2020 and who wish to order a certificate or purchase a plaque ($63.00 plus tax) should have returned the awards application to Tami Bradford by April 30. If you have questions, please contact Tiffany Cross.
RESCUE CHALLENGE: In memory of former members Ellie Berger and Ronni Levine, in January GDCNE launched a challenge to match members’ contributions benefiting Great Dane Rescue of New England, up to $500. Thanks to our members’ generosity, we met our challenge goal well before the March 31 deadline!
DONATIONS/DUES: Dues payments, trophy fund contributions, and other donations can always be made on our Contribute page via PayPal. Gifts to GDCNE are tax-deductible.
