MEETINGS: Our next meeting will be held via Zoom on Monday, June 13. The board will meet at 7 p.m. and the general meeting will start at 7:30 p.m. Members will be sent further details as the date approaches.
SPECIALTIES & SUPPORTED SHOWS: At our June meeting, we will vote on
judges for the 2024 GDCA National; see the
May Dane Line Reimagined for more information. For last fall’s
Great Dane Club of America National Specialty raffle, we donated a very special basket designed for anyone who’s expecting a litter of Dane pups. Babies can be placed in this fleece-lined laundry basket whenever they need to come out of the whelping box, and we stocked the basket with a thermometer, infant scale, umbilical clamps, petroleum jelly, washable pads, and many other items. Thanks to everyone who contributed to the basket; special appreciation to Marcia Roddy for a great idea and great execution!
Our
2022 GDCNE fall specialties will be held in November during the cluster shows at the Big E fairgrounds in West Springfield, Mass. Watch for more details. Congratulations to all the 2021 winners and a big thank you to our judges, chair Laurie Maulucci, and everyone who organized and staffed the shows. Complete results can be found at
