RECORD Dear Members and Friends, The next meeting of the Great Dane Club of New England will
be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2010,
at O’Connor’s Restaurant in The GDCNE met on Friday, November 20, 2009 at the Big E in Members present: Peter & Marcia Roddy, Betty Lewis, Sharon Boldeia, Robin Liner, Susan Shaw, Karen Pacino, Dianne Powers, Sandi Tombari, Naida Parker, Ellie Berger & Alex Hardink. Guests present: Jocelyn Eaton. MOTIONS PASSED: - Secretary’s report approved amending the location of the last meeting to O’Connor’s Restaurant. - Treasurer’s report approved as progressive. UPCOMING EVENTS: Spring Specialty Our Spring Specialty 2010 will be held on Friday, June 4, at
the Middlesex 4-H Fairgrounds in Our Judges are: MEMBERSHIP: Applications for membership or questions regarding
qualifications of applicants should be addressed with Applications will be presented to the Board of Directors for appropriate action. Please note that anyone agreeing to sponsor an applicant must get to know them and make the commitment to visit their home. If anyone wants to say anything relative to an applicant, positive or negative, please send letters to the membership chair, Betty Lewis. information!! PARENT CLUB REPORT – GDCA: Report submitted by Sue Shaw, Affiliate Delegate: -Sue distributed the GDCA Standard Committee October 2009 brochure. The proportion change the standard committee is suggesting is to eliminate the 50/50 proportion and indicate that the Great Dane “will appear square.” The 5th proposal on the harlequin color is that “merle patches are normal.” -The 2010 National will be in Pine Bluffs, As always, additional information can be found on the Great Dane Club of America website.
